Our story of falling in love

Hello everyone
This is my first time blogging. I never realized how popular blogging was until this week. It seems like a good way to stay in touch with people so I decided I would start one.

Josh and I were married on May 14 in the Rexburg ID temple. We are both going to BYU-I. He is studying accounting and I am studying dance. We are managing men's approved housing called The Pines. I met Josh on campus one day when I had just gotten done lifting weights with my brother. Tyler stopped and said hi to him and I couldn't believe how cute he was. After we walked away I asked Ty who that was. He said its Josh Peterson the guy who plays on our basketball team and Jill (sister-in-law) wants to set you up with. I couldn't wait to go home and get on facebook to talk to him. We talked and found out we would be going to Utah the same dates and we were both driving alone. He asked if I just wanted to ride with him and of course I said yes. But that wasn't for another week. I had to go on a date with this guy soon because he was all I could think about. Tyler was going on a date with a girl and told me to find a guy to take so we could double. I wanted to ask Josh but thought that would be weird if I asked him out on our first date. I was just going to find an old buddy when Tyler finally talked me into it. Tyler sent me the text to send to Josh because I didn't know what to say. Once he sent it to me I forwarded it to Josh. To my astonishment Josh said yes. I had dance that night and all I could think about was that I needed to be getting ready for our date. As soon as the teacher said we could go I ran home as fast as I could and got ready. I threw on every piece of clothing I own. My best friend Trina had to assure me a hundred times that I looked ok. Right before Josh got there I looked at Trina and said I am going to marry this guy. It was the weirdest feeling I have ever had. I thought to myself how dumb that was to say, this was our first date. Anyways it was a Thursday night and we went to dinner at Wingers. I was nervous because I didn't know if I was supposed to pay or if he was. When the check came he grabbed it and it was as normal as could be. After that we went bowling. We saw one of his long time best friend Amy Wood (Passey). Josh was talking to me on his knee because all the chairs were taken. Amy took of a ring she had on and slid it over to Josh. Josh didn't get it but I did and I laughed so hard. Josh didn't catch on for a couple weeks. Then we went to my mom's house and played ping pong and talked until 3:00 AM. I felt bad because come to find out he a final to take the next day and hadn't studied for it yet. He called and told me he failed his final but it was ok because he passed the class. The next night (Friday) he had plans with another girl. I was super sad because of how well the first night had gone. Next thing I knew he invited me to go watch his sister Randi play basketball. When he picked me up he told me he lied to that girl to get out of the date with her so he could be with me. He felt bad so he called her and told her the truth. Anyways we had another good date. Then we were with each other Saturday night as well. We watched the Grinch because it was almost Christmas. That was the night of our first kiss. It was so awesome. Sparks flew even more. From then on we were with each other every night. The time came to drive to Utah. This was the trip that we so happened to be going to Utah the same day and coming home the same day. I was supposed to be heading to California to perform in the poinsetta bowl. I called the coach and told her I couldn't make it. I wanted to stay with Josh in Utah. We stayed one night at his Uncle Travis's and the next week at my Uncle Eric's. We went snowboarding with his friends. We also went and walked around Temple Square. We ate on The Roof, which is a restaurant that over looks the temple. We were walking back to our car after and he stopped me in front of a water fall and told me he had something to tell me. He told me he loved me. I told him I was in love with him too. It had only been a little over a week but I knew I was in love him.

Christmas was a couple days later after we got back from Utah. We couldn't stand to spend Christmas seperately so I decided to have Christmas with his family. Christmas night we were at my moms house and we decided that we needed to get married. We looked at rings the next week and I picked out three and made him pick out the one he liked when I was gone. About a month later in January we went back to Utah with some friends of his. His friend Krystal had a friend who was a missionary on Temple sqaure and we were going to see her. Josh wanted to go take pictures where he first told me he loved me. So we broke off from them and he set up the camera while I posed so he knew where to aim the camera on the stand. I ran over to me and got down on his knee. He was proposing. I was speechless. I didn't answer him for a couple minutes. Finally I did and my answer was yes. Come to find out he put the camera on video, so the whole thing was on camera.

We planned our day to be May 14th. During the wait for our marriage we spent every minute of every day together. The day of our wedding was perfect. Everything was so beautiful my mom did such a great job with all the planning. I couldn't have done it with out her. Also a big thanks to Jill, Callie, and Trina for all the help they put forth. Anyways We had a honeymoon planned to Hawaii. We spent a week there and had the time of our lives. On our way back we stopped in California and stayed with my Aunt and Uncle who live there. They bought us Disney Land tickets for our wedding gift. Josh had never been to Disney Land and he was the cutest little boy in the world. We had a great time and the best honey moon, thanks to all who helped us.

Anyways life is great. We are more in love now then ever. Everyday I'm with him I grow closer and closer to him. We still to this day have not spent a day seperately since our first date.
